Rental Terms
Updated 20 September 2026
1. LESSOR AND AGREEMENT
The lessor is Magnet Invest Oy, Business ID 0787488-6, which engages in motorhome rental under the name Vanstoori.
Address: Rajakuja 5, 01230 Vantaa Email: info@vanstoori.fi Telephone: +358 50 355 8068. The price of the call is determined by your own subscription agreement.
Contact regarding bookings, changes, cancellations, invoicing, and complaints shall be made by email to info@vanstoori.fi.
These terms and conditions apply to the rental of a vehicle between Vanstoori and a consumer customer. The agreement consists of the booking confirmation, these rental terms, the price list applicable to the booking, and any changes separately agreed upon in writing.
The customer will be sent the booking confirmation and the terms applicable to the agreement by email in a saveable format. Changes to the general terms or the price list made after the booking do not alter an already confirmed booking.
The terms do not limit the consumer's rights based on mandatory legislation.
2. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
The booking fee is 300 euros and it is included in the total rental price. If the total price is less than 300 euros, the entire price is paid as the booking fee.
The booking is confirmed when the customer has accepted the terms, paid the booking fee, and received a booking confirmation.
The final payment is due 30 days before the start of the rental period. For bookings made later than this, the entire price is paid at the time of booking.
If payment is not made on time, Vanstoori will send the customer a payment reminder and specify a reasonable additional time for payment, as well as the consequences of non-payment. Non-payment is not in itself a cancellation notice from the customer.
The rental price, selected additional services, and other agreed fees are stated before the booking is confirmed. Consumer prices include applicable taxes.
3. CANCELLATION OF BOOKING
The general 14-day right of withdrawal for distance selling does not apply to vehicle rentals agreed for a specific time. The customer has the following right of cancellation based on the agreement.
Cancellation must be notified by email to info@vanstoori.fi. The time of cancellation is determined by the time the message is received, and is not affected by the time of Vanstoori's response.
The time is calculated backwards from the agreed start date and time of the rental. A day means 24 hours.
• For cancellations made at least 30 days before the start of the rental period, the paid rental price will be refunded in full.
• For cancellations made at least 15 but less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the cancellation fee is 50 percent of the total agreed rental price.
• For cancellations made less than 15 days before the start of the rental period or in the event of a no-show, the cancellation fee is 100 percent of the total agreed rental price.
The basis for calculating the cancellation fee does not include separately priced additional services. Fees paid for additional services for a booking cancelled before the start of the rental period are refunded in full. Fees for unused additional services for a vehicle that was not collected are also refunded.
The booking fee is part of the rental price and is not charged in addition to the cancellation fee. Rental payments already made are deducted from the cancellation fee. If more has been paid than the cancellation fee, the difference will be refunded. If less has been paid, the difference remains payable.
Refunds are made within 14 days of cancellation. This term does not prevent the assessment of the reasonableness of the cancellation fee based on mandatory legislation.
4. DRIVERS
The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving licence that entitles them to drive the vehicle in question.
The renter is responsible for ensuring that every person driving the vehicle meets these requirements and complies with the rental terms and the vehicle's user instructions. There is no additional charge for an additional driver.
Vanstoori will verify the renter's identity and right to drive before handing over the vehicle.
The vehicle must not be driven while intoxicated or otherwise unfit to drive. The vehicle must not be sublet.
5. SERVICES AND MILEAGE INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL
The rental includes the equipment and services specified in the reserved vehicle's details and in the booking confirmation. Separate additional services will be charged according to the customer's selections.
Pets are allowed without an additional charge. The customer is responsible for any damage caused by the pet and for ensuring the agreed level of cleanliness is met.
For rentals of at least seven days, unlimited mileage is included. Shorter rentals include 300 kilometres for each billable rental day. Excess kilometres are charged at 0.29 euros per kilometre.
6. VEHICLE HANDOVER AND USE
The vehicle is handed over at the agreed time, clean, roadworthy, and suitable for the agreed use. Vanstoori provides the necessary instruction for the use of the vehicle and its equipment.
The vehicle's dimensions are stated in the vehicle's details when booking. The driver must take the vehicle's height, width, length, and mass into account when driving, parking, and choosing a route.
The vehicle's condition, previous damage, and fuel and mileage readings are documented at the time of handover. The customer must report any unrecorded deficiencies they observe as soon as possible to info@vanstoori.fi.
The vehicle and its equipment must be used carefully in accordance with the provided instructions. The vehicle may not be used for racing, illegal activities, or on terrain unsuitable for the vehicle. Driving on normal gravel roads suitable for the vehicle is permitted.
Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside the vehicle.
7. TRAVEL ABROAD AND TOLLS
It is permitted to travel with the vehicle in Europe without a cross-border fee charged by Vanstoori. The vehicle may not be taken to Russia or Belarus.
The destination country and any known transit countries must be declared in the message field when booking. Changes to the travel plan must be reported to info@vanstoori.fi. This is a declaration, and travel to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Moldova, or Ukraine does not require a separate agreement or approval from Vanstoori.
According to section 3 of the general terms and conditions of the Turva corporate vehicle insurance, the theft and fraud insurance for vehicles rented without a driver are not valid in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Moldova, and Ukraine, unless otherwise agreed in the insurance contract. The theft of the vehicle or its loss due to fraud occurring in these countries may therefore not be compensated by the insurance. This limitation as such does not mean that all other insurance coverages are invalid in the said countries.
The travel permit does not extend the insurance's area of coverage. Merely travelling to a permitted country, a regional limitation of the insurance, or a negative compensation decision from the insurance company does not in itself create liability for compensation for the customer nor extend the liability agreed in these terms.
Vanstoori provides the lessor's permits and insurance documents required for the trip. The customer is responsible for their own travel documents as well as for road, parking, ferry, and other usage fees incurred during the rental.
A customer travelling to Sweden or Norway must, before the trip, register for the Epass24 service at www.epass24.com and add to the service a valid payment card, the vehicle's correct registration number and country of registration, and the rental start and end dates and times.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy and updating of the information if the vehicle or rental period changes. Linking the vehicle to the customer's Epass24 account must be limited to their own rental period.
The customer is responsible for paying the fees invoiced through the Epass24 service and separately for those fees that the service does not handle. If a fee pertaining to the customer's rental period is invoiced to Vanstoori, Vanstoori may collect it from the customer on the basis of a receipt. A fee that has already been paid will not be charged again.
More detailed registration instructions can be found at https://vanstoori.fi/ukk.
8. SECURITY DEPOSIT
The security deposit is placed as a pre-authorisation hold on the customer's credit or debit card before the vehicle handover. The security deposit is 1,000 euros or 500 euros if the customer has purchased the excess reduction as an additional service.
The pre-authorisation hold requires that the customer's card is suitable for it and has sufficient funds available.
Specified receivables in accordance with these terms may be charged from the security deposit under the payment authorisation given by the customer and within the limits permitted by the terms of the payment service. These may include:
• damages or the excess amount for which the customer is liable
• return cleaning, if it has not been purchased and the vehicle does not meet the agreed level of cleanliness
• special cleaning for which the customer is responsible
• emptying of the toilet cassette and the grey water tank
• refuelling and its service fee
• replacing an empty gas cylinder with a full one
• excess kilometres, late return fee, and other pre-agreed charges.
Vanstoori will provide the customer with a breakdown of the basis and amount of the charge and the report on which a damage charge is based.
The amount of the security deposit is not the general maximum limit of the customer's total liability. The limits of liability for damages and their exceptions are defined in sections 12 and 13.
9. RELEASING THE SECURITY DEPOSIT
After the return, Vanstoori will wash the exterior of the vehicle and inspect its condition. The inspection and the release of the unused pre-authorisation will be carried out no later than the day following the vehicle's return date.
If the return date or the following day is a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the inspection and the release of the pre-authorisation may be carried out no later than the next business day following the return date. In this term, a business day means a day between Monday and Friday that is not a public holiday.
The terms of section 8 apply to charges made against the security deposit. If the basis or amount of a receivable cannot be determined within the time limit, the matter will be handled separately. The pre-authorisation will not be kept open indefinitely for possible subsequent costs.
Any disagreement regarding a charge will be handled based on the clarifications presented by the parties. Making the charge does not remove the customer's right to dispute it.
The timing of when the released pre-authorisation appears on the customer's account or available credit depends on the customer's bank. The customer may, upon request, receive a receipt for the release of the pre-authorisation.
10. FUEL AND GAS
The vehicle is handed over with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full tank. If fuel is missing, the customer will be charged the cost of the added fuel as well as a 10 euro refuelling service fee.
The customer must use the appropriate fuel for the vehicle and follow the instructions regarding the vehicle's AdBlue system.
The number of gas cylinders and their initial level will be checked at handover. If a gas cylinder emptied during the customer's use is in the vehicle upon return, a charge of 40 euros per cylinder will be made for exchanging it for a full one. The customer will not be charged for the replacement of a cylinder that was already empty at handover.
11. WINTER USE AND WASTEWATER
The vehicle and its water system must be used taking weather conditions into account. If the weather forecast predicts temperatures below −10 °C, Vanstoori recommends that the vehicle be handed over with the water system emptied.
The use of the water system and any potential restrictions will be agreed upon before handover. Any known significant usage restrictions will be communicated before the booking. The effect of any restrictions that arise after the booking on the agreed service will be discussed with the customer.
When using water, the heating must be kept on in temperatures below +5 °C, also when the vehicle is parked. The customer will follow the vehicle-specific instructions provided regarding heating, water usage, and prevention of freezing.
If the grey water tank's drain valve is kept open in freezing temperatures, the wastewater must be collected in a suitable container. Grey water and toilet waste must only be emptied at designated disposal points. Wastewater must not be discharged onto the ground, into bodies of water, or into storm drains. The use of biodegradable detergents does not remove this obligation.
The customer is liable for freezing damage to the extent that the damage is caused by their negligence or failure to follow the provided appropriate operating instructions. The customer is not liable for damage resulting from a technical fault in the equipment or from inadequate instructions, without their own basis for liability.
12. INSURANCE AND PER-INCIDENT DEDUCTIBLE
The vehicles have Turva motor liability insurance, comprehensive insurance, separate glass insurance, and roadside assistance insurance. The insurance company's liability to compensate is determined by the insurance contract and policy terms applicable to the vehicle in question.
The existence of insurance does not mean that all damage to the vehicle or its equipment will be compensated by the insurance. The essential limitations relevant to the customer's liability will be communicated before making the booking.
For damage falling under the customer's liability and covered by the comprehensive insurance, the customer's deductible is a maximum of 1,000 euros per incident, based on these terms.
For a customer who has purchased the additional service for deductible reduction, the deductible is a maximum of 500 euros per incident. The price of this additional service is 10 euros per day.
The deductible reduction is a limitation of the customer's contractual liability granted by Vanstoori. It does not in itself alter the insurance contract between Turva and Vanstoori.
The deductible reduction does not apply to interior and other damages not covered by insurance as referred to in section 13. This limitation is also stated during the selection of the additional service before its purchase.
The deductible is a maximum amount, not a fixed damage fee. The customer will not be charged more than the compensable loss for which they are liable.
The agreed deductible limit is also applied when the damage is covered by the relevant insurance policy, but Vanstoori has the damage repaired without claiming insurance compensation. Vanstoori's own negligence related to insuring the vehicle or claiming compensation does not increase the customer's otherwise agreed liability.
If multiple damages occur in separate situations, the deductible is applied to each separate incident. Damages resulting from the same incident are not divided into separate incidents merely because multiple parts of the vehicle are damaged.
In the case of a stone chip or other glass damage covered by the glass insurance, the customer will be charged the actual compensable loss for which they are liable, up to a maximum of 200 euros per incident. If the insurance covers the repair in full and no compensable loss remains for Vanstoori, the customer will not be charged a damage fee. The risk of a possible subsequent crack does not alone justify a charge.
13. LIABILITY FOR INTERIOR AND OTHER DAMAGES
The customer is liable for damages to the car's interior, furniture, upholstery, equipment, and accessories caused by their negligence or that of a person travelling with them, incorrect use, failure to follow proper user instructions, or intentional action. The customer is also liable for damages caused by a pet travelling with them.
For damages, the necessary and reasonable costs incurred for their repair will be charged. If interior damage is not covered by insurance, the EUR 1,000 or EUR 500 deductible limit does not apply, and the compensation may exceed the amount of the security deposit.
The same principle applies to awning, equipment, and other damages not covered by insurance, which are caused by the aforementioned conduct of the customer or a person travelling with them.
The customer is not liable for normal wear and tear, for damage that occurred before the rental, or for a technical fault not caused by an action for which they are responsible. A negative compensation decision from the insurance company does not in itself establish the customer's liability for compensation.
The deductible limit does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to the extent that broader liability for compensation is justified by law.
Vanstoori will specify the damage, the basis for the customer's liability, and the amount of compensation. Duplicate compensation for the same loss will not be collected from the customer and the insurance company or other party liable for compensation.
14. DAMAGES, FAULTS AND TOWING
Instructions for action in the event of damage or faults will be sent by email with the booking confirmation.
The customer must take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of persons and to prevent further damage. Driving must not be continued with a car that is dangerous or may cause further damage.
Damage or a significant fault must be reported as soon as possible to info@vanstoori.fi. In an emergency, call 112. In cases of theft and other necessary situations, a report must be made to the police.
Towing must be ordered through the insurance company in accordance with the instructions in the booking confirmation. If the customer, without an acceptable reason, orders towing from another provider contrary to the instructions, they may be held liable for the necessary and justified additional costs incurred, which are not covered by insurance.
Necessary urgent measures to ensure personal safety or prevent further damage will be assessed based on the circumstances of the situation.
Repairs must be agreed upon with Vanstoori in advance, unless it is necessary to take urgent action before contact can be established.
In the event of a trip interruption covered by insurance, the continuation of the journey and the related compensations are determined according to the insurance terms and the insurance company's instructions. This does not limit Vanstoori's own liability based on the contract or law.
15. VANSTOORI'S LIABILITY FOR A FAULTY CAR
If the use of the car is prevented or substantially hindered due to a fault for which Vanstoori is responsible, Vanstoori will endeavor to repair the fault or arrange a replacement car, as agreed with the customer, without undue delay.
The customer's right to a price reduction, termination of the contract, refund of payments, and possible damages is determined based on the significance of the defect, the contract, and applicable law.
If the fault is caused by the customer's incorrect use or other conduct for which they are responsible, Vanstoori is not obliged for this reason to pay compensation or offer a replacement car. Vanstoori will demonstrate the connection between the incorrect use and the fault.
16. CAR RETURN AND CLEANING
The car must be returned to the agreed place at the agreed time with its keys and the equipment included in the rental.
The return is complete when the car is at the agreed return location, locked, and the keys have been returned according to Vanstoori's instructions. This also applies to returns made without staff present.
Washing or inspecting the car later does not extend the customer's period of liability. However, the customer is liable for damages that occurred during the rental and for which they are responsible, even if they are discovered only after the return.
It is the customer's responsibility to remove their own belongings and rubbish and to return the interior cleaned, unless final cleaning has been purchased as an additional service. Cleaning includes washing dishes, wiping visible surfaces, and cleaning loose dirt and pet hair from floors and seats.
The toilet cassette and grey water tank must be emptied, unless their emptying has been purchased as an additional service. Exterior washing is included in the rental.
The price for final cleaning is:
• campervan: 70 euros
• motorhome: 90 euros.
The final cleaning price applicable to the reserved car will be stated before booking. The combined price for the toilet cassette and grey water tank emptying service is 70 euros. A separate fee is not charged for each tank.
If the customer has not purchased the final cleaning or emptying service and has not performed the agreed return procedures, the necessary service will be charged according to the price list mentioned above. Work included in a purchased service will not be charged for again.
Special cleaning that exceeds normal final cleaning will be charged for separately, when the need for it arises from soiling or damage for which the customer is responsible. Special cleaning may include, for example, washing seats or upholstery, removing stubborn stains, and necessary deodorisation or ionisation. A charge for special cleaning can also be made when the customer has purchased the standard final cleaning.
Special cleaning carried out by Vanstoori itself will be charged based on the actual, necessary working time. The hourly rate is 40 euros, including the applicable value-added tax. The working time will be itemised and will not be rounded up to the next full hour.
The cost of special cleaning performed by an external professional will be estimated based on the professional's itemised cost estimate. The final charge is based on the necessary and reasonable actual costs. The cost estimate is not an automatic fixed damage fee.
The customer will be provided with an explanation of the need for special cleaning and a cost estimate before the work is ordered, unless urgent cleaning is necessary to prevent further damage. The customer will be notified of any significant change to the cost estimate. For the final charge, a work time and cost breakdown or the service provider's invoice will be provided.
Both a final cleaning fee and a special cleaning fee will not be charged for the same cleaning work.
Vanstoori will document any deficiencies found upon return. Any compensation subsequently claimed from the customer requires an explanation that the damage or deficiency is their responsibility. Damage that occurs after a proper return is not the customer's responsibility.
17. LATE AND EARLY RETURN
For exceeding the agreed return time, a fee of 10 euros will be charged for each commencing hour. However, the fee is at most the average daily rent of the booking for each commencing 24-hour late period.
The average daily rent is calculated by dividing the total rental price of the booking by the number of billable rental days. Additional services are not included in the calculation. Late periods are calculated starting from the agreed return time.
Vanstoori may waive the fee for the first commencing hour. The fee or a change in the return time can also be agreed upon separately with the customer at info@vanstoori.fi. Waiving the fee does not in itself extend the agreed rental period.
Both a separately agreed extension of the rental period and a late fee will not be charged for the same period.
An early return based on the customer's own decision does not automatically entitle them to a refund of the rental price. This does not apply to situations where the customer is entitled to compensation based on a breach of contract by Vanstoori or by law.
18. PREVENTION OF RENTAL AND TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT
If Vanstoori is unable to provide the agreed-upon vehicle, the customer may be offered a replacement vehicle for their approval. If an acceptable replacement arrangement is not reached, payments made for the unfulfilled rental and additional services will be refunded.
Any other liability for compensation will be assessed based on the agreement and the law. A force majeure event does not give the right to retain payment for a service that has not been delivered at all.
Vanstoori may terminate the rental due to a material breach of contract. The customer will be given an opportunity to rectify their conduct, if it is possible in the situation and immediate termination is not justified for reasons of safety or protection of property.
Fees and any compensation will be determined based on the reason for termination and the losses incurred.
19. PERSONAL DATA, TRACKING AND DISPUTES
All Vanstoori rental vehicles are equipped with an Elisa tracking service. The tracking view available to Vanstoori shows the vehicle's current location. Vanstoori does not store location history nor automatically monitor the vehicle's area of use.
Vanstoori uses tracking to locate the vehicle in case of theft or loss, and to arrange for assistance for the customer when necessary.
The controller for personal data related to tracking is Magnet Invest Oy. The processing of personal data, its legal basis, the recipients of the data, retention periods, and the customer's rights are described in more detail in the privacy policy available before making a booking.
Questions and requests concerning the processing of personal data should be sent to info@vanstoori.fi.
Complaints should also be sent to info@vanstoori.fi. The complaint should specify the booking, the observed problem, and the customer's claim. Vanstoori will process the complaint without undue delay.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the consumer may contact the Consumer Advisory Services, www.kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta, and submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, www.kuluttajariita.fi.
The consumer has the right to bring the matter before a competent court. The agreement is governed by Finnish law, without prejudice to the mandatory protection otherwise afforded to the consumer.
