After a busy day we decided to spend the night near the Portuguese border. We searched Park4Night for suitable wild camping spots. The route to the parking area led us down a narrow dirt road through a marsh area, and upon arrival we discovered the parking lot was underwater. We ended up spending the night at a nearby village's asphalt parking lot. The next morning we continued toward one of Lagos's stunning beaches. On the way we stopped at a local Lidl. We picked up fresh local fish, vegetables, and a five-liter red wine canister for five euros! The road to the beach was very narrow and uneven, occasionally even muddy. Using Park4Night we found a well-reviewed, quiet parking area in the city suburbs. The town was pleasantly compact, full of atmospheric buildings and lights. We drove through Sagres and decided to spend the night on Portugal's west coast. In the area, cliffs rise spectacularly straight from the sea, and we found a wild camping spot right at the cliff's edge. It was surely one of the most stunning places we've ever spent the night in a motorhome. We spent a sunny day sitting outside admiring the views. The return trip was truly exhausting, and we drove almost continuously for six days. We decided that in the future we'd avoid unnecessary driving and prefer using the Finnlines ferry connection. This trip was one of our most amazing experiences – full of scenery, moments, and encounters that will stay with us for a long time. ### Inspired by the story?
